Office of Information TechnologyThe Office of Information Technology (IT) was created to serve the technology needs of the Diocese of Madison.
A guiding philosophy of our Office is "to simplify and add lightness" which is credited to Colin Chapman, founder of the British car manufacturer Lotus. We seek to keep IT solutions simple and in line with established best practices as that leads to fewer support needs. We seek to keep them light in computing resources, financial resources, human resources, and more, because parishes and schools must do more with less.
Having just been established in Fall 2025, the Office of IT is working hard to first meet the needs of the Chancery, and then develop plans to serve the needs throughout the Diocese of Madison. We need time to do our own due diligence so we can determine the best way to serve the diocese. Expect formal plans to to be revealed in mid-2026.
Until formal plans are rolled out, the Office of IT is able to review IT contracts and make basic recommendations. Please use the form on this page to contact us.

About ParishStaq
The ParishStaq tools centers around the interconnecting areas of: Financial, CMS and App tools. This overall package of offered the best combination of ease of use along with functionality for parishes of the tools reviewed by our parishioner based committee. Please watch the 40 minute overview below that was presented to our Bishop and Parochial Administrators which highlights the tool and it's capabilities.

About the Diocesan Data Hub
The Diocesan Data Hub is an online tool for capturing and sharing data among the various organizations that comprise the Diocese of Madison. Through this tool, it is hoped that our Diocese can make even better use of the time, talent, and treasure given by God, and we can become ever more effective in pursuing God's mission of evangelization.
Some parts of the Diocesan Data Hub are accessible to anyone who is interested, but many parts are restricted to specific parties. Users log in to the system to access those restricted areas, and permissions are granted based on organization and dataset. (For example, a parish secretary would likely have access to set the contact information for his or her parish, but not another).
Below are some instructions accompanied by screen shots for various tasks that have been requested of parish staff members. Questions may be directed to [email protected].

About Flocknote
Flocknote is the tool used by parishes within the Diocese of Madison to easily send emails and texts to parishioners. Diocesan offices also use the same tool for communicating with our parishes. You'll expect to see mail from: [email protected] Flocknote is also used by our Bishop to communicate periodically with all those in our Diocese.
